Find Your Place

I’m a teacher and coach.

{And proud}

I love my Alma Mater*ahem* my school.

I love my people around me.

That’s where this job trumps all others in my book.

I work in a place where we laugh together.

I work in a place where we have the same goal— students AND teachers succeeding in all things.

I work in a place where I found my tribe that is always there for the good and the bad.

I work in a place where I have a tribe who will rejoice in the good times and grieve together in the sad.

I work in a place where we {typically} share….I mean we’re pretty good at it. Sharing thoughts, sharing snacks, water bottles, paper, etc. We even share classrooms on the occassion— one example being ACT testing like today.

I work in a place where we respect each other’s area.

I work in a place where we check on each other.

I work in a place where we want what’s best for our kids.

I work in a place where we have the freedom to create positive and inviting learning environments.

I work in a place where we play Secret Santa.

I work in a place where we eat lunches together.

I work in a place where we celebrate the start of school.

I work in a place where we celebrate athletic wins.

I work in a place where we celebrate academic wins.

I work in a place where we celebrate all the wins— #allwedoiswin.

{literally}

I work in a place where we share gifts.

I work in a place where I am valued.

I work in a place with kids who are wonderfully exceptional individuals.

I work in a place with teachers that want better for our students.

I work in a place that I love.

I work in a place where we value students for more than their test scores and grades.

I work in a place where we value each other for being more than a teacher.

I work in a place where we ask each other about our non-teacher lives.

I work in a place where some of us go to church together.

I work in a place where we exchange tokens of appreciation just because.

For example: the neck warmer that my sweet friend knit for me after showing me the others she made for several students.

I work in the best school in the world.

I work at Magnolia High School– Home of the Panthers.
